Andiamo!: An exploration of the relationship between abstract expressionism painting and women artists from the mid-20th century to the 21st century is a unique contribution of knowledge to the conversation of gender bias within the abstract expressionist movement. This propositional exhibition will critically analyse the impact of gender bias on women abstract expressionist painters through the inclusion of eight women artists work from the mid-20th century to the 21st century. The exhibition will be held at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Italy and aims to highlight historically underappreciated women artists as well as their contribution to the abstract expressionist movement and lasting influence on contemporary artists working today.
